Step One:

        final PeriscopeLayout periscopeLayout = (PeriscopeLayout) findViewById(R.id.periscope);        periscopeLayout.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {            @Override            public void onClick(View v) {                periscopeLayout.addHeart();            }        });
